                        GMDSS MF/HF Radio installation

  • Installation provides with MF/HF-radio radio telephone communication, a narrow-band printing and DSC on long distances.
    MF/HF-radio installation shall:

  • to transmit and receive at frequencies of distress and safety in the ranges 1605 — 4000 kHz and 4000 — 27500 kHz in the DSC modes, telephony and NBDP;
  • to keep the continuous watch з the DSC mode at frequencies of 2187,5 kHz, 8414,5 kHz and at least one more frequency of distress and safety of DSC in the range 4, 6, 12 or 16 MHz;
  • to provide transmission and reception of the general correspondence in the modes of the radio telephone or NBDP in MF and HF the ranges.

GMDSS MF/HF JRC JSS-2150/2250/2500


    


        Description :     

  • The MF/HF controller uses a 3.8-inch high visibility LCD display, which  you can adjust at your own convenience. The display has 10 dim settings  and you can set the contrast up to 11 different levels. An integrated  screensaver and the ability to assign a commonly used menu to a user key  for direct access, are just a few of the possibilities.
  • The MF/HF controller includes a prominent distress button, with features  to prevent accidental activation. When in distress, you can send a DSC  message instantly, transmitting your MMSI, position, time of position  and nature of distress, enabling an immediate response for search and  rescue efforts.
  • The MF/HF controller integrates an advanced digital audio amplifier,  which increases the amount of power, making the receiving message loud  and clear.
  • Getting a second operation controller onboard is easy. Connect a second  MF/HF controller to the transceiver and position the controller at a  secondary location on the ship. The second MF/HF station is fully  operable and you can transfer saved channel data to optimize your  operation.

  • The JSS-2150/2250/2500 MF/HF Class A DSC radio equipment features an  intuitive user interface and a highly reliable circuit that enables  all-mode continuous full power operation.
  • The MF/HF has Digital Selective Calling (DSC*) as standard with a built  in Class A 6CH DSC watch-keeping receiver. You can transmit and receive  digital selective calls for quick and efficient establishment of  distress, urgency, safety and routine communication with other ships and  coast stations.
  • In distress situations, the MF/HF sends an alert once you press the  distress button. The integrated DSC watch-keeping receiver monitors  distress alarms through continuous scanning of distress frequencies.

     



   

GMDSS MF/HF FURUNO FS-1575/2575/5075

    

                Description :     

  • These new radios provide prompt status overview, which - especially in  ‘emergency’ situations - is important in order to have a full overview  of the radio, i.e. the channels selected, signals strengths, power and  message composing etc, without consulting a ‘How To Do’ operators  manual.
  • In addition the radio contains a wide range of new features – not only  related to GMDSS–regulation - which will make these new SSB radio’s  important tools in the daily communication and operation of your  vessel.

              Display
  • With the FS-series new ‘Full Status Information’ display the operation  of the radio is much easier than seen before with a clear overview of  all functions for prompt operation .
   Beyond the normal function of selected channels etc, the current signal  strengths (S-meter)
   is displayed and all ‘activated functions’ are  visible including vessels position.
   Furthermore, vessel’s MMSI number  and time are displayed.

           SSB messagebox
  • A new feature for in- and outgoing messages is shown as simple messagebox icons.
   Furthermore, the radio is equipped with a ‘Call log’ storing all previous DSC messages and calls.  
   ‘Short cut’ bottoms define DSC messaging for either ‘Emergency DSC’  messages or ‘Other DSC’
   messages - clearly distinguishing from composing  real emergency action or e.g. relay messages of
   the occurrence of a  distress event obtained by non-DSC means.

        DSC in specific geographical areas
  • As  a special and very useful feature the radio is able to transmit  messages within a geographical defined area e.g. the user inserts the  lat/long coordinates within a specific area. Other vessels, SSB-radios  or coast stations having position input from GPS will then receive the  DSC-call provided these are within the defined area. The geographical  settings can be made as the shape of a quadrant or a circle.
  • The FURUNO FS-2575 can be upgraded for TEKLEX (NBDP) by adding only a  FURUNO IB-583 telex message terminal, since the radio telex modem is  allready included as standard feature.
           Printer option
  • A external printer can be  connected both for ordinary printout of DSC-message or for the telex  function via the printer interface, IF-8500.
